Unified Client Portal
About unified client portal
Unified Client Portal is a new initiative to create a cloud-based portal or “home” for Epiq products and related 3rd party services. The portal will aggregate data from various sources and provide users greater transparency into their full portfolio of matters including information on billed services. This is an umbrella solution that sits on top of other applications to provide high-level stats with the ability to identify trends and drill down into more detailed information. The goal of Epiq Console is to improve client experience directly or by making it easier for associates to better serve clients. The first version launched in May 2020 however the project is expected to continue well beyond as we continue to design additional features.
Below is a site map I designed based on the needs of six core personas. I refined the personas with input from subject matter experts and collected use cases from internal associates. Next step is to test this with clients.
one portal, many paths
I created the following boards to illustrate how different personas would navigate the site and illustrate what content they would or would not see based on their needs and privileges.
navigation levels and order
An application this scalable needed a flexible navigation framework. I developed this structure by researching the usability of different navigation patterns.
FROM RESEARCH TO DESIGN
The following wireframes were created by another designer on my team but were inspired by the research I created above.
